Bucksport Bay Friends, is a social model day program that provides social, emotional, memory and physical stimulation for people being cared for at home. Adult day programs can prolong, and in some cases even prevent admission into nursing homes.
What is a social model day program?
A social model day program is a program which provides social, emotional, memory and physical stimulation, prolonging, and in some cases even preventing admission into nursing homes.
Bucksport Bay Friends provides a safe, secure, non judgmental environment, offering individualized activities to enhance the lives of its participants as well as their caregivers. Activities are overseen by well trained staff and volunteers.
Mission Statement:
Our mission is to provide a safe, supportive, non-judgmental environment for adults, in which we will offer individualized physical, cognitive, and social activities, in order to enhance the lives of the participants as well as the lives of their caregivers.
